Sunrise over the tea hills
Rise before dawn to reach the BOH plantation plateau — Southeast Asia's largest — before sunrise. Rows of tea bushes emerge from the morning mist in an absolutely spectacular golden light. Best visited between 6am and 7am before the daytime fog rolls in.

Ringlet Lake & mountain fishing
Lake Sultan Abu Bakar, formed by the Ringlet dam, is a vast misty mountain lake surrounded by primary forests. Fishing for Malaysian pike is popular among locals. The melancholic atmosphere and morning mists create an ideal setting for a contemplative escape far from the crowds.

BOH Tea Centre's café perches on a cliff edge overlooking thousands of rows of tea bushes. Guests sip freshly picked tea while taking in one of the Cameron Highlands' most spectacular panoramas. Accessible by car on a winding mountain road, open throughout the day.

Birdwatching in primary forest
The Cameron Highlands harbour rare mountain bird species, including the Malaysian bullfinch and several bulbul species. At dawn, the primary forest awakens in an exceptional concert of birdsong. A local guide knows the best spots to observe species found nowhere else in Malaysia.
